INFORMATION ABOUT SS 8 | |
(28 - Posedias Michalis / Alexandrou George): retired after SS 8
(26 - Galatariotis Simos / Ioannou Antonios): Yes, it is a very hard rally but we have to take care of the car. I had a puncture on the tarmac part in the morning and the cars before and behind me had problems as well.
(20 - Toktaş İsmet / Bostanci Sedat): Yes, I am very happy, we finished the 1st day and also the 2nd day, we had some problems but we also made some time improvements. We made this stage better than the previous ones.
(17 - Banaz Buğra / Erdener Burak): It was very special for us, the best stage in the world I think, we enjoyed it very much. Car is good, everything is OK now.
(22 - Fahri Deniz / Kalfaoğlu Barış): Today it was very hard but we are very happy. We hope that we will finish the rally successfully.
(31 - Manyera Bora / Çerkez Cem): The heat was incredible and the plans went wrong but we managed to come to the end of the day and so we are happy. I had a puncture in the first stage but I pushed hard afterwards and I changed the only tyre I had. Today I was very careful.
(3 - Al-Attiyah Nasser / Baumel Matthieu): Yes, it was really really hard, I am a group leader you know. I will try to mantain good speed tomorrow, good pace and not to damage the car. We had one flat tyre today that suddenly exploded but we are happy, we did good job, huge thanks to my team, to my mechanics and tomorrow I will do my best to win.
(8 - Tsouloftas Alexandros / Elia Stelios): I think it was one of the hardest rally days so far. I lost a lot of time because of a puncture so I am going to push more tomorrow. Absolutely right, SS6 was so twisty and people were not familiar with such conditions, that is why some guys had an accident at the same point of the stage.
(11 - Remennik Sergei / Rozin Mark): I had several issues today. I had some gear transmission problems, I did hit a wall, a tree, and lost the brakes. But it was perfect, even though it was hot, dusty and I had almost immobile car.
(7 - von Thurn und Taxis Albert / Degandt Bjorn): Yes, it is incredible how hard, hard the conditions are. I was a bit cautious and I am happy to finish today. Yes, sometimes it was more survival than a normal rally, I mean it was hardcore but we are looking forward to competing again tomorrow.
(12 - Melegari Zelindo / Barone Maurizio): OK, it it is perfect to be behind the finish line. We are not happy about our time today but we are proud to compete in the championship, good.
(10 - Denktaş Rauf / Derviş Bora): It was very hard. The stage was overcrowded, perfect. The stage was also very tough, very hard and very hot.
Stage surface: 27% gravel, 73% tarmac |
