INFORMATION ABOUT SS 8
flash info (11 - Neuville Thierry / Gilsoul Nicolas): We are both safe. We had a proper check at the local hospital, so I am using these crutches only for a short time to avoid the pain in my leg. Our pace notes were too optimistic, it seems. We had the place like flat over crest, but landed a bit out of the road at high speed, hitting a small bank that caused that heavy roll series. By then, there was not way to get rid of that situation. We didn't want to be crash dummies and this is not good for the championship, but we are now looking forward to Portugal and test the car again next Friday.
retired (11 - Neuville Thierry / Gilsoul Nicolas): accident in SS 8
flash info (8 - Tänak Ott / Järveoja Martin): Thierry's accident can happen to anyone in a place like that. These two stages were very tough for the tyres.
flash info (1 - Ogier Sébastien / Ingrassia Julien): I just hope Neuville and Gilsoul are well right now because that is the most importnt thing. My C3 is not exactly great this morning, but we are still in the fight.
The stage has been red flagged following Neuville's accident. More details when we have them.
flash info (10 - Latvala Jari-Matti / Anttila Miikka): The place where Neuville crashed is a flat over crest. I lifted there and yet I went wide, so it is a nasty place. My time is good, so I am improving.
flash info (5 - Meeke Kris / Marshall Sebastian): It wasn't my plan to be this fast without the windscreen, but it was obviously good news to be told that at the time control.
(11 - Neuville Thierry / Gilsoul Nicolas): rolled
flash info (19 - Loeb Sébastien / Elena Daniel): I really enjoyed the stage and the car feels pretty well. I pushed hard, so I am pleased to see the time was not bad.
flash info (33 - Evans Elfyn / Martin Scott): It was nice, but not perfect. I was struggling in some sections.
flash info (3 - Suninen Teemu / Salminen Marko): I made some mistakes getting to the end of the test and I had to take it easy on the rubber, too.
flash info (89 - Mikkelsen Andreas / Jæger Anders): I am being too careful, trying to get my pacenotes right in this first visit to Chile.
flash info (4 - Lappi Esapekka / Ferm Janne): I was slow because I completely killed the tyres in SS7. Had I ushed harder, I would probably have not made it to the finish.
flash info (37 - Bertelli Lorenzo / Scattolin Simone): The day is getting better and this stage was fantastic, the best of the rally so far for me. I just got a junction wrong at the end of it.
