INFORMATION ABOUT SS 5 | |
(96 - Harpe Thomas / Bonino Pablo): retired after SS 5
(89 - Mikkelsen Andreas / Jæger Anders): Of course it all went better when we saw some places in the road were getting dry, at least more than in the start of the day. We are still in the fight. I had a puncture in SS4. 6 km into it, my co-driver Anders Jägers told me to be careful because one of the tyres was gone. Many things can happen this afternoon, I guess
(10 - Latvala Jari-Matti / Anttila Miikka): Generally speaking, I am pleased. We had to be very careful, choosing where to go. If you hit damp patches all of a sudden, you end up out of the road. I guess this requires an extra dose of concentration
(6 - Sordo Dani / Del Barrio Carlos): Staying in the road is the target. In the mud, you never know how to be accurate. You don't get a precise feeling very often
(4 - Lappi Esapekka / Ferm Janne): My main delay was a puncture in the morning loop. I saw Meeke's lines earlier, but that was too crazy for me to go through those same places. It stopped raining but the mud is still there and beneath the mud we might find rock in the afternoon. Sometimes I felt like taking your car out of the garage in cold tyres, reaching 100 km/h and trying to stop it all of a sudden. Good luck with that!
(5 - Meeke Kris / Marshall Sebastian): It was complicated driving through the areas where we found those patches of black mud. Instead, the sandy sections were definitely easier, like it should be later today. This year's Rally Argentina is proving quite of a challenge, but of course it is nice to be leading the rally even if there is still a long way to go
(33 - Evans Elfyn / Martin Scott): I could have done better in some stages, but the truth is it was very diffcult to find a balance. There were several sections where one would hesitate. I thought I could find more re grip even in Wales!
(8 - Tänak Ott / Järveoja Martin): We got more confidence in the last couple of stages. It was difficult to expect something accurate in terms of the stages surface. We have to try to understand the conditions and work on the car set-up
(1 - Ogier Sébastien / Ingrassia Julien): This superspecial was the best of the season, very enjoyable. The morning route was very slippery. We didn't know where to find grip and push harder nor where to take it easier. Gaps are not that big and there is a lot to play yet
(11 - Neuville Thierry / Gilsoul Nicolas): I am finding a good feeling with the car and I am driving in a comfortable way despite the mud, particularly now that it is getting a bit drier |
