INFORMATION ABOUT SS 1
(69 - Rovanperä Kalle / Halttunen Jonne): The kerb was not so bad, it was quite small so I knew it was not a bad hit. An amazing feeling - I can almost hear the people from inside of the car, I know how loud it is. It feels so amazing in the car when you know the atmosphere is so great.
(33 - Evans Elfyn / Martin Scott): It's going to be obviously pretty fast-paced from the beginning. We know how this rally is and we're looking forward to it. Let's see what's possible.
(11 - Neuville Thierry / Wydaeghe Martijn): We are looking forward. It's a good way to kick it off tonight with such a nice stage in the city centre with lots of spectators. I hope that Jari-Matti is going to enjoy his weekend - we all know how much he loves to drive. It's a great opportunity and I am sure I would be very happy in the future if I got an opportunity like that after retirement.
(8 - Tänak Ott / Järveoja Martin): We will try, we will put all in. Let's see where it gets us. The ones we are fighting are very strong obviously - we need to put everything on the line.
(4 - Lappi Esapekka / Ferm Janne): What do you need? A very loose, low belt...
(18 - Katsuta Takamoto / Johnston Aaron): My family and friends are here and I have seen many people that I see in normal life. It's very nice to be here and tomorrow is going to be very challenging. I will try to push.
(7 - Loubet Pierre-Louis / Gilsoul Nicolas): It was a good one, I tried to do a clean run.
(3 - Suninen Teemu / Markkula Mikko): It's super to be back here. The cars are just incredible, a lot of power and the aero is crazy. I am really enjoying driving this car but unfortunately the first stage was not the best for us. It was okay but nothing more.
(97 - Latvala Jari-Matti / Hänninen Juho): Back in 2003, 20 years ago at my first WRC rally in Finland, I was so nervous that I was losing my eyesight before the stage! I was calm [now], Juho was controlling me and we had fun!
