Informationen zur SP 1
(52 - Martens Thomas / Smeets Eddy): A really fun stage, I've been driving a lot here in Bikernieki this weekend, so it's good to see what we can do.
(51 - Fontana Matteo / Arnaboldi Alessandro): It was a good run, very nice track and I enjoyed it but the race starts tomorrow so we will push.
(50 - Frisiero Fabio / Agnese Giovanni): I expected to not enjoy, but I enjoyed too much. Very nice stage, very nice.
(49 - Ragues Pierre / Pesenti Julien): It's quite fun, it's a nice ride, we enjoy a lot. We don't take too many risks like other people. It's a good stage and we enjoy a lot, we hope tomorrow will be the same thing.
(48 - Margaillan Matthieu / Margaillan Mathilde): It's not easy for me. No grip for me, maybe tomorrow is better.
(47 - Battistolli Alberto / Scattolin Simone): I enjoyed it a lot. I missed the whole atmosphere and the opening stages. It is great to be back, just for once.
(45 - Kazaz Kerem / Silvestre Corentin): accident in SS 1
(41 - Priednieks Artūrs / Kirkovalds Jānis): It's fantastic, there are so many spectators and I have very good power from my spectators so I am very happy and very proud of this event in Latvia.
(40 - Semenuk Brandon / Williams Keaton): It's exciting for sure, maybe not the best stage for me to start on. Not much gravel, still tricky. The roads look amazing, definitely tricky in spots. There are some really tricky corners thrown in the mix and you can get caught out quite easy.
(39 - Mežaks Matīss / Ronis Arnis): How can I not smile? I'm in my first WRC event. Just no words!
(38 - Soylu Uğur / Güray Şener): Stage... crazy! Too much sliding, one corner sliding so much. Perfect!
(37 - Al-Rashed Rakan / Magalhães Hugo): It was a great start to the rally and the stage was quite nice. We really enjoyed it.
(36 - Zaldivar Miguel / Rozada Borja): It was great! Really happy, enjoying a lot and remembering my old days in go-kart. Having fun for sure.
(35 - Jeets Gregor / Taniel Timo): It was something different. Dropping some time, but it was quite big fun for us. So many people.
(34 - Suninen Teemu / Markkula Mikko): The tyres are not a big thing, I think the power steering is a bigger thing, we might have a short rally. We did not have power steering towards the end.
(32 - Creighton William / Regan Liam): It's quite a nice stage, good fun. Just trying to manage between sliding and just going forwards. Had a lot of understeer, I don't know if any of the other guys had any of that, but we'll do our best for tomorrow.
(31 - Kremer Armin / Kremer Ella): I think it will be very interesting, we will see what we can do. Our first time here, the first stage is okay for us. We will see tomorrow if we are ready for the race.
(30 - Miele Mauro / Beltrame Luca): It's good, funny! My problem is that I need some kilometres and to go fast from the first metre is not easy for me. But I enjoy a lot!
(29 - Daprà Roberto / Guglielmetti Luca): It was really fun, my first time for so long kilometres with Tarmac tyres. I don't know the pressure of the time now, I'm sure it will be very high. The rally is tomorrow, it will be very fast and we will enjoy of course.
(28 - Lindholm Emil / Hämäläinen Reeta): Not too surprised, it's not easy to set up the car for this kind of track, so we had an understeer. I think this is the pace I'd expect as well, so I think I'm okay with this.
(27 - Heikkilä Mikko / Temonen Kristian): There are many reasons to have a hard tyre, for sure it was the wrong choice. You'd need to ask somebody else.
(26 - Zaldivar Fabrizio / Der Ohannesian Marcelo): It's quite tricky to understand the correct rhythm, sometimes you slide a bit, sometimes you are going slow, so you need to find the correct rhythm.
(25 - McErlean Joshua / Fulton James): The gap is something we need to look out for in the future, we need to keep an eye on it this weekend.
(24 - Greensmith Gus / Andersson Jonas): Clearly I wasn't tidy enough. Struggling with the differential in there, pushing like crazy. Maybe I was using the handbrake too much too.
(23 - Gryazin Nikolay / Mālnieks Andris): It feels like it's too soft. On the ground there is nothing we can expect more. I feel like we changed setup for the stage, but it didn't feel too different. Waited to go full on the throttle, but it was a nice drive through.
(20 - Solberg Oliver / Edmondson Elliott): It was not bad, a clean run. A bit of Rallycross style, I enjoyed it. It is great to come down here to Riga and have an atmosphere for all the fans, I enjoyed it. 10.2sec, tomorrow I need it!
(21 - Pajari Sami / Mälkönen Enni): It's a bit of a gamble with these tyre choices for this kind of stage, I had a feeling that I had a clean and solid run. I had a mix of compounds, it felt fine for me.
(22 - Sesks Mārtiņš / Francis Renārs): It was amazing, I think we lost a bit on the second lap with the soft tyre, I made some places too wide for sure. I think everyone loved that!
(11 - Neuville Thierry / Wydaeghe Martijn): It's not too bad with the tyre choice we had, we saw that the softs seem to work quite well. No one really knew at the start of the stage, so we were hesitating. We did what we could, it is great to kick off here in front of such a big crowd which is nice. We'll see what we can do tomorrow; hopefully the feeling is good.
(33 - Evans Elfyn / Martin Scott): Really hard to know what is right or wrong. Clean run, but difficult to find the rhythm between pushing and sliding too much. Looks like Kalle had a clean run.
(8 - Tänak Ott / Järveoja Martin): We tried to be clever for the tyre choice but we got it very, very wrong. Frustrating, but excited for the challenge ahead.
(17 - Ogier Sébastien / Landais Vincent): Tyre choice was not easy and that is why you see a lot of time differences, so far not too bad so let's see what the guys do behind. I didn't drive perfectly there, the movement of the tyre was hard to manage.
(8 - Tänak Ott / Järveoja Martin): was out of road
(16 - Fourmaux Adrien / Coria Alexandre): I think I had a really clean run with the hard tyres, I will compare with the other guy with the hard tyres. I thought it was okay for the time for Kalle Rovanperä, but it is not.
(69 - Rovanperä Kalle / Halttunen Jonne): I think it was okay, it is impossible to really say in these conditions which tyre to choose so we just chose one and hoped it would be okay. The guys behind will be fast, it's cleaning a bit and coming onto the tarmac.
(4 - Lappi Esapekka / Ferm Janne): I think it is a disappointment, I was expecting it to be a lot better. I wanted to believe the temperature is high enough to use the hard [tyres] but I couldn't use it properly it seems.
(18 - Katsuta Takamoto / Johnston Aaron): I've been waiting a long time for this kind of track, it's very hard to say whether tyres was correct. Tomorrow is the proper stage but obviously we had fun with the spectators.
(13 - Munster Grégoire / Louka Louis): Great atmosphbere, we had a chance to do a small parade and see the mountain of fans. We don't have the right tyre for this, it is really tricky because you try to be efficient but you end up being slow and going sideways.
