INFORMATION ABOUT SS 8
retired (42 - Allen Philip / Bowen Dale): maximum permitted lateness in TC 9 exceeded
(42 - Allen Philip / Bowen Dale): was out of road
flash info (69 - Rovanperä Kalle / Halttunen Jonne): It was nice. Quite a lot of grip changes there so I didn't take any risk, to be honest. Then at the end, the flow was pretty good, so it was quite nice.
flash info (17 - Ogier Sébastien / Landais Vincent): Nice stage. Pretty high grip in this one. Still, we were surprised - we got caught on one corner with some little gravel or whatever. I understeered a little bit and lost a bit of time.
flash info (33 - Evans Elfyn / Martin Scott): Definitely very different between the start and the end. The start is very aggressive - hard to know how much to push on the tyre there.
flash info (5 - Pajari Sami / Salminen Marko): Really, really nice stage - enjoyed it quite a lot. A bit tricky, some grip level changes, but no real major surprise.
flash info (1 - Neuville Thierry / Wydaeghe Martijn): It's a bit twisty for my liking, but it's okay. We had a clean run through, still struggling with the balance and low grip. But we are continuing, and at least we have a battle we can concentrate on and have some fun.
flash info (8 - Tänak Ott / Järveoja Martin): Beginning, first part, quite high grip. Some places the grip is changing surprisingly a bit. Quite tricky.
flash info (16 - Fourmaux Adrien / Coria Alexandre): I really try to stay close to the Taka, and Sami is also a great driver, but we have to try to stay in contact for the rest of the rally. The balance is really good on the high grip, but as soon as it's smooth Tarmac like we have now, it's really very difficult to drive the car.
flash info (13 - Munster Grégoire / Louka Louis): It was okay. Still trying to figure out the set-up, and there are some good and some less positive things.
flash info (55 - McErlean Joshua / Treacy Eoin): The grip's a lot higher, I would say, than any other stage, which probably helps us a bit, but as soon as you go onto the smooth surfaces, then the feeling returns. It's a big compromise at the moment, but we still keep learning, because every kilometre in one of these cars is important at this stage.
