I cannot be more satisfied. We only had to push on Friday, and from then on just controlling. We made good pace notes and thanks to the team - the car was perfect.

A bit tricky with the driving, to be honest. We had to reverse in a hairpin, so not perfect, but we will fight back in the afternoon.

It's all about defending the lead now. We took it steady but I'm not the guy who needs to push today. It's not frustrating, just all part of the learning process.

That was the roughest stage of the rally for me. Deep ruts and lots of rocks. I took it easy in there.

No dramas, no problems and no reason to push harder. The feeling is good.

That was brilliant. Not many mistakes at all. There was a huge rock in one corner which I managed to avoid. If I had time to miss it I must be able to go faster.

The time was good but the stage was not perfect. I can do better. I felt the tyres were finished near the end. I will be much quicker in the afternoon.
