This stage was an improvement on the morning but it's not a stage I enjoy. This morning was alright but I was never really comfortable. The car never felt right all afternoon.

Everybody is managing the tyres at the moment, the next stage is going to be critical. Something does not feel right at the rear of the car, it keeps moving around a lot and a strange knocking noise.

No problems, trying to manage the tyres. We have two used tyres on for these first ones. We were always going to lose time on these.

More rutted than I thought it would be and a lot harder in the compressions. We broke the windscreen in there, the car was bouncing around at lot.

I have always struggled with it the stage, for sure this is the cleanest run we have had through it. It is the same every year we come here, the Volkswagens seem to be able to look after their tyres and that is important on a long stage like this.

Not bad, difficult to drive in these conditions when it is s so slippery. It is not easy. I think this next stage is going to be the big one. We are changing between the hards and the softs. It is a long day and we will see how we end up.

I'm pleased. The balance is right. The road position is helping but it's not easy to keep it in the lines.

It is amazingly slippery, it is very very lose in the line. The road’s going to keep cleaning a little bit so we will see what the guys behind are going to do.

Big concrete walls take no prisoners. Cold brakes and tyres almost caught us out but overall no problems.
