I was really looking after them (tyres) and they survived pretty well. A difficult stage. Let's see.

Soft compound tyres were completely the right choice. It was a bit of a risk but in our position it was all we could do. It turned out better than I expected. This afternoon there will probably be some issue with tyre wear, so I will have to be clever. It will be interesting.

I was completely flat out, it was a completely perfect stage, I could not do more. The tyre choice was right - on the soft tyres we minimised the time loss.

It was not such a bad choice - the tyres look okay. I had to try something [different]. The hards wouldn't have been any better. I hit all the poles - have to try and cut everywhere.
