This one was just to get through, we did everything in the morning that we needed to do to hold the position. It has been a good weekend, we managed to go through on the right pace where we needed, so I think I am more than happy for this weekend.

In the morning we had a handbrake problem. My handbrake is not working with all four wheels. I almost stalled two times, we were cautious and then we saw McErlean. We were alarmed, so I backed off. It is good to see McErlean and Treacy are both safe, just stuck deep in a snow bank, really sorry for them. It is speculation, but of course I would have more feeling and confidence but it is not that bad without handbrake, you just need to be more precise.

It was a heavy landing after the jump! I backed up a little, neck hurts! The cars can really fly. So far it has been okay, took this one quite steady. Now we get the service, long stages to go.

I had to reverse in a junction with the braking. At first it felt good, but when you get into the ruts, it doesn't stop. I'm thinking maybe I should have kept it more wide, it was too narrow to drive into a snow bank and reverse. I tried but I think we dropped at least five seconds.

It was really tricky, in some places you can find some grip but under the braking it is like wheewww. Today we are having a really nice battle with Sami Pajari. Brings back some Junior WRC memories. At that time we get a point for a stage win.

The first half, we overshot the junction. The first one was really slippery under the braking. I think we found a good rhythm on the second half of the stage.

They're so different these stages today, compared to yesterday,. We found a really good feeling yesterday and these stages are really fast in some places, like you are driving on the limit. I am still struggling to keep the fast pace in the fast corners, today is all about fast corners! There are lots of unknown things, the road getting wider, getting narrower, snow. It is really cool and I am really grateful for this opportunity that we get to drive here and everything, it is really cool and an a really cool car.

The first stage was quite fast and we took it quite steady, this one had some places where we were like 'we were gonna end up somewhere', then we back off. I still need to find the perfect balance. You just turn the wheel and hope for something! I am scared but when Renārs is scared... normally 90 percent of the time he isn't but that five percent means big trouble.

Well, it was very slippery to be honest! We were like ducks on ice. Each leg is on each side! Of course it is amazing... driving this fast in cars like this on these kind of roads. We gave some show for the spectators and it is amazing.

I was worried at the last split, were they worse than the beginning of the stage? The last 6-7km there was a lot of slow and really slippery. It is good so far, nothing else to say really. We have a magician called Gavin, he is the one behind tyre strategy. I cannot be saying anything!

We're learning, this was the feeling like when you drive and you think that it might be fast but it is 50/50. Sometimes you are far off, sometimes not. It is pure joy but there is a thin line between going fast and pushing. There were a few places where I was like ahh.

Made a mistake in the last part, but it is alright. Of course we are learning a lot and this is a really new experience for me, because in previous years I am driving longer studs with lots of grip, this is something I am not used to because you have a lot of downforce.

Not easy, I have new helmet, new glasses! It's not easy. And I have to drive a fast rally car! I saw these Latvian flags and I thought 'oh they are here!' It cost me maybe a second, I was looking at the flags. It is really nice that these people are following us and they care what we do. It is really nice!

It wasn't that bad actually? I was taking it really steady in some places, from yesterday after the shakedown it felt really good, now on this stage it's like bang, bang into the snow banks and after every second corner it is into the snow banks, but it is fun. You can see other's mistakes a little bit and of course seeing that you wish to be more cautious. But good fun!
