Actually we got the alarm at the finish line of the Sleeping Warrior stage, about the alternator issue. The road section was unfortunately a bit too long to reach the service park. We tried everything we could on the road section to fix it to try and find a way to make the alternator run again but unfortunately it didn’t and we had to retire. It looks like it has been caused by mud coming into the car, of course the whole car is incredibly dirty and it looks like some mud has been coming in. I have been told that one of our cars also had the issue and actually managed to fix it by putting clean water on it again and it started running again. We did that too but unfortunately it didn’t solve our issue. I did everything I could do but it wasn’t enough.

It has been a good day. It is actually better to not be in the lead tonight because we know on Saturday it always starts raining in the afternoon and most of the time the rear guys suffer the most. Tomorrow is a big day and it will be a massive challenge to survive that one.

It is not a fun stage to be honest, no corners at all.a couple of junctions. It is full of stones and I tried to be careful but it is a pure lottery here. The rain looks like it is coming again this afternoon.

Great stage but obviously the minute lost yesterday won't be easy to get back. At least we enjoyed that one. It is very bumpy and we have good suspension but we on the limit.
