31.08.2026 15:08	22	(20 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): This one feels like a proper podium. I think a lot of people had written us off, a lot of people probably thought we were a bit of a joke of a to sign this year, but a lot of people believed in me, and we believed in ourselves. So this goes to show you never ever give up. Dream, dare to believe in your dream, and I can't believe we're back here in this full cycle. And even good for myself just to know that we can still be competitive, knowing there's a lot more as well as we learn the car. But massive thanks to Hyundai. With this opportunity this year, we've just absolutely loved it. For our Kiwi supporters, our own PRG team back at home for allowing me to still do this. And of course John, 22 years. We don't know what's next, but this has been one hell of a journey. He's an absolute legend. We've gone around in full circles I don't know how many times, but yeah, this's a pretty special one.
31.08.2026 15:08	20	(20 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): It is short stage and it was all about keeping clean. We are just managing and keeping pressure on Sami. I'm trying to enjoy it but the nerves keep ramping up. I could drive a lot faster but I can't get the feeling with the braking.
31.08.2026 15:08	19	(20 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): Not committed enough. We haven't done this stage in the past. I was not committed enough with the pace notes.
31.08.2026 15:08	18	(20 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): We are not going to do it [overtake Pajari] on pace alone while the conditions are like this. The road conditions are changing quite quickly.
31.08.2026 15:08	17	(20 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): I think what makes it worse is we're all on pretty badly worn tyres, so it's getting very messy in there and obviously, you know, lots of people going off, so making it more and more muddy. A good warm-up for tomorrow maybe.
31.08.2026 15:08	16	(20 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): I have played it tidy. For sure we could push more but my driving style is not the easiest on the tyres and you can really feel it is struggling for traction. The tyre will be good for the tarmac in the last stage, they are well scrubbed.
31.08.2026 15:08	15	(20 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): I'm trying to push at a good place and trying to keep it clean and tidy.
31.08.2026 15:08	14	(20 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): This is a complete contrast to the previous one. Very technical. It's like a bit of a man-made stage in places. So the road surface is quite inconsistent. Felt better this time, though, compared to the first pass with the changes we made.
31.08.2026 15:08	13	(20 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): Oh yeah, it's quite a straightforward stage...this one's always going to be the worst stage for the tyres, so the next is easier.
31.08.2026 14:08	12	(20 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): The grip's changing quite a lot and I think the road's changing a lot as well. I think it's getting drier in some places, but it's getting more chewed up in other places. Tricky stage, but all good. I think this loop has been a lot less complicated than what we were all expecting. So let's see what this afternoon brings.
31.08.2026 14:08	11	(20 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): I'm jus struggling for rhythm at the moment. It is not gelling like yesterday. There is still a long way to go so I just need to reset.
31.08.2026 14:08	10	(20 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): It was really tricky, we had a puncture alarm at the second corner but it was a false alarm as it disappeared after a while.
31.08.2026 14:08	9	(20 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): Again it is a long day and there is a lot of stuff to happen. This stage was in the dry but I think it is the calm before the storm. Looking after the tyres. You gotta look around and it's the rain gonna happen at some point.
31.08.2026 14:08	8	(20 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): It's obviously difficult for everyone. I think everyone's had problems, so if we can drive out of two stages on punctures and still be, you know, within touching distance, we've been unlucky but lucky at the same time. Tough day, and the scary thing is I think this is going to be the easiest day of the rally. Brace yourself for the next couple of days, I think.
31.08.2026 14:08	7	(20 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): It is tough, it delaminated with about 15km to go. We managed it the best we could. No fault for anyone it is demanding for the tyres. Our job as rally drivers is to drive around situations.

31.08.2026 13:08	6	(20 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): Nothing. Obviously it is puncture but no idea where from. There is obviously a lot of rocks but I didn't touch anything. I tried to manage it for the last part of the stage. It was probably our turn.

31.08.2026 13:08	5	(20 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): We are just driving our own rally at the moment. The time is almost irrelevant we are just trying to keep it really smooth. There is a long way to go and the goal is to avoid punctures.

So yeah, it's pretty special to think after all this time to be in this position. Again, a few circumstances have worked in our way, but yeah, it's pretty cool. Anyway, we have to reset and focus and try and do the same this afternoon.
