INFORMATION ABOUT SS 5
(3 - Llarena Efrén / Fernandez Sara): For sure I was on my limit with the car. We're doing a good job.
(7 - Franceschi Mathieu / Malfoy Andy): The road is incredible, during the stage is nice. The car is working very well, the road is incredible, my driving is better than this morning and so are the pace notes.
(16 - von Thurn und Taxis Albert / Hain Jara): It's hot in the car even if it's not hot outside, the problem is we don't get fresh wind anymore. We have a little clutch problem sadly, I don't know how serious it is.
(6 - Sesks Mārtiņš / Francis Renārs): I've worked on myself! This was quite a fast stage, easier than the other ones to come but it's just about getting more experience.
(2 - Østberg Mads / Barth Patrik): It's a broken transmission again, I spun because of that. I only have rear wheel drive, I was approaching a junction and then a crest and I spun because I only have rear wheel drive.
(12 - McErlean Joshua / Fulton James): Driving is getting a bit better, it's all coming together to get a bit better.
(15 - Tempestini Simone / Itu Sergiu): We changed the tyre to hards over mediums, the feeling wasn't perfect this morning. I expected this one to be a bit better, it's not looking so good but we are doing our best without taking any risk.
(2 - Østberg Mads / Barth Patrik): spun
(1 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): Obviously not doing anything different on the driving side, but we've softened the car up so it felt a bit more forgiving in there. Small steps.
(5 - Lukyanuk Alexey / Chervonenko Yevhen): In this stage we feel comfortable, confident and feeling good.
(18 - Kopecký Jan / Hloušek Jan): Maybe there was some rain shower, there were two or three places where it was damp. I was pushing, the car is working well.
(20 - Stříteský Dominik / Hovorka Jiří): Better than the morning, it's closer. It's better for us, thank you.
(10 - Wagner Simon / Winter Gerald): It's still wet and difficult stage, not 100% happy with my driving but we try.
(9 - Mareš Filip / Bucha Radovan): I finally have a few minutes to spend with my family, which is always nice. I checked the pace notes and tried to have a calm mindset. So far it seems that it's working but there's more difficult stages ahead.
(14 - Csomós Miklós / Bán Viktor): So the first section, very wet! So for the later guys it will be dry.
(11 - Cais Erik / Bacigál Igor): If there was a disadvantage to start first, I never saw it. We start the first round, half of it was completely wet, and then we took the second round and it was half dry. For this loop there will be no water on the road, because it's 35 degrees outside. But this is rally and I have to take it.
Tarmac is at 40 degree surface temp, whilst the blistering sun is beating down on the stage, no doubt affecting tyre wear particularly when we consider that our drivers will be braking on the numerous hairpin bends throughout the afternoon loop.
