There was a huge rock in the middle of the line on a really fast corner. It was either go into the trees or hit the rock. A bad start to the rally, but we will keep fighting and try to do our best. | |

I really like Portugal - the atmosphere and spectators are amazing. It was quite tricky in here. We had a big rock in the middle of the road and it pushed me out of the stage, I didn't expect it. | |

It's nice to be back in a competitive environment and it feels like a long time since Greece last year! But of course we have stayed fit - we have been testing and we have been in the car a lot. | |

A big thanks to the team, they really did a good job. It was not as bad as the photos, luckily! Now we just need to do one more pass to check everything is working good. We are not trying to load the tyres because we are trying to save them for the next days. | |

I have some experience - I have done this rally two times before. It's still going to be a very tricky weekend - they are great roads but very rough, and you need to be careful for punctures. I think that is the key this weekend - to be clean. | |

I think I am happy to be back on gravel, it's a surface where you can take a lot of pleasure if you are confident. The plan is to take some points from this rally and we will see what happens, there is a lot of competition this weekend. | |
