INFORMATION ABOUT SS 6 | |
(25 - Linnamäe Georg / Morgan James): Definitely our road position is helping a bit. I can't imagine what it must be like for the guys in front. Honestly, I didn't understand at first win in general at the end of SS5 - I just thought I'd won in-class. I was very happy - it's amazing!
(24 - Joona Lauri / Hussi Janni): It was quite an ok stage. Very, very slippery and in the chicane parts I was too careful again. Let's see what the last stage of the loop will bring us.
(23 - Lindholm Emil / Hämäläinen Reeta): We are good mates. It's like a nice little Finnish championship round inside the WRC! It's obviously nice to see a lot of Finnish crews towards the top, but we have one Swede to catch! The road is surely cleaning, but it's super-difficult to get the car to follow the clean line. The grip is different in every corner.
(28 - Jeets Gregor / Taniel Timo): accident in SS 6
(22 - Pajari Sami / Mälkönen Enni): It's really tricky. I tried to follow the line, but a couple of times we were quite sideways. No crazy moments, though - [we were] more on the safe side, but I would like to go faster.
(21 - Solberg Oliver / Edmondson Elliott): There's nothing to think about, you just do your best and hope it's good enough. It's consistently slippery, that's for sure! It's a challenge, but it's good fun sometimes.
(31 - Solans Jan / Sanjuán Rodrigo): I missed a junction, went straight and was unable to engage reverse. We lost 10-15 seconds. It was completely a mess.
(31 - Solans Jan / Sanjuán Rodrigo): missed junction
(20 - Gryazin Nikolay / Aleksandrov Konstantin): Conditions are improving with each run. It will change the rally completely. I'm trying to follow the lines, but it's complicated. It is how it is.
(37 - Bertelli Lorenzo / Scattolin Simone): Honestly, all the guys behind me will be faster no matter what they do. I'm looking forward to tomorrow, so let's see.
(4 - Lappi Esapekka / Ferm Janne): It's tough to understand what kind of speed you should carry. You go a couple of centimetres wrong and you're done because you can't control anything. It's not called aquaplaning - it's snowplaning! It's a very thin line in these conditons. Even if you play it safe, you can still lose it.
(13 - Munster Grégoire / Louka Louis): It's unbelievable how difficult it is. It's like being in a ballpit when you are a child - just no grip. The time is a lot down to the road position, I think. I struggle enough in normal snow, so I have no idea what to do in these conditions! I'm just guessing all the time...
(18 - Katsuta Takamoto / Johnston Aaron): It's very difficult - the same as the last stage, no grip at all. I'm trying to follow the lines but sometimes I had to create the lines! It's difficult to push more - we're quite on-the-limit sometimes. We still have two days to go, so we cannot afford to make stupid mistakes today - we need to stay on the road.
(16 - Fourmaux Adrien / Coria Alexandre): It's really difficult. I'm driving really slowly and carefully. As soon as you get a little bit out of the line, there is no grip. I don't have confidence, I just want to get through. There's still a long stage to do in the dark - the day is not finished yet.
(11 - Neuville Thierry / Wydaeghe Martijn): Suddenly, we had an issue. The engine was not running so we had to check it, but obviously the bonnet wasn't closed properly. I had a few lines [to follow] now, so the conditions were a bit better but I still couldn't see the road. Elfyn was at the refuel earlier when out car didn't fire up, so he should know.
(33 - Evans Elfyn / Martin Scott): I guess the spirit of competition has gone out of the window. The difference between being first and second on-the-road is huge, but let's wait to cast judgement before I say something I'll regret. |
