Stage continues. | |
Stage was stopped because of accident of car no. 39.
(39 - Viitanen Marko / Suominen Tapio): accident in SS 5
(35 - Kogure Hikaru / Luhtinen Topi): was out of road
(24 - Joona Lauri / Hussi Janni): It was quite ok. Of course the road is cleaning more, but I'm happy.
(23 - Lindholm Emil / Hämäläinen Reeta): That was madness! It was impossible to stay away from the banks. Luckily, they're quite high and tough, so they kept us on the road. I'm feeling better in the car now, so let's see how the next stages go.
(22 - Pajari Sami / Mälkönen Enni): I made one of my stupidest mistakes ever. I stalled at the start. I don't know how much time we lost - maybe five seconds. I'm a bit gutted.
(21 - Solberg Oliver / Edmondson Elliott): The ones behind will 100 per cent be faster. I drove very clean. I'm leading WRC2 by 20 seconds, so it's too risky to try something. It's like driving a quad bike at home. In every corner, there was snow coming onto the grille and window.
(31 - Solans Jan / Sanjuán Rodrigo): It's incredible. It's very, very difficult to keep in the line. The car is going like crazy, and when you go off the line, you have zero grip. It's very difficult to manage.
(20 - Gryazin Nikolay / Aleksandrov Konstantin): I tried to be aggressive, but sometimes it didn't work and I slid too much. It was difficult to get into a rhythm on this stage, and for each [subsequent] one, it will be better and better.
(37 - Bertelli Lorenzo / Scattolin Simone): Honestly, everybody will get faster and faster and faster. We are just sweeping the road for the ones behind. We are here as the staff of the rally organiser!
(4 - Lappi Esapekka / Ferm Janne): I drove smartly, but I think Grégoire [Munster - ahead of him on the road] does not really have the experience to know how to drove in these conditions so the line was fully ****ed for me! He was everywhere! For sure, that was one of the most challenging snow stages I've done.
(13 - Munster Grégoire / Louka Louis): It's the most difficult conditions I've ever driven in - literally no grip, with snow coming over the bonnet. It was about trying not to take any risks and just surviving. I felt so slow and still almost got stuck in snowbanks!
(18 - Katsuta Takamoto / Johnston Aaron): There were more than ten centimetres of snow in some sections, with no chance to find any grip - it was just using the banks and lines. It was proper bobsleigh sometimes! I enjoyed it. Having an Irish co-driver, I need to drive with a good rhythm and feeling like Craig Breen.
(16 - Fourmaux Adrien / Coria Alexandre): I'm really surprised I set the fastest time. It's the first time I've driven when it's still snowing, and I was driving so slow. The conditons are just crazy. I don't feel like I'm driving, just surviving. If you go outside of the lines, you lose control of the car.
(33 - Evans Elfyn / Martin Scott): It could have been 16 seconds faster or a minute slower - I wouldn't know. It's so bad - virtually undriveable. You're just trying to power your way through - it's so easy to make a mistake.
(11 - Neuville Thierry / Wydaeghe Martijn): I don't know, the speed is very slow. I was enjoying the drive, but I know the time will be properly bad. I think we can lose three seconds per kilometre in there...
