The grip was really, really low - really quite different to last night. I guess it'll be the same story as the afternoon - it's going to get better with every car, but it's like that.

I guess the spirit of competition has gone out of the window. The difference between being first and second on-the-road is huge, but let's wait to cast judgement before I say something I'll regret.

It could have been 16 seconds faster or a minute slower - I wouldn't know. It's so bad - virtually undriveable. You're just trying to power your way through - it's so easy to make a mistake.

They were difficult conditions again. It was really hard to find the balance between pushing enough and being dragged into the loose snow on the outside. We tried to be clean but it wasn't easy.

I completely lost the rear in a fast place and couldn't recover. We were quite lucky to get away with that. I just tried to hold onto it!
