I think it was required to be smart in such conditions. Not so much happened on the Thursday, but lots happened today. Big thanks to the gravel crew, we have done what we needed to do.

We found something that is working better, it is a big test. Trying things out, sometimes it is wrong, sometimes it is not. We tried so many different things, we are struggling with the front end, we changed the roll bar and the diffs. It has been a weekend of learning.

We did quite a big change yesterday evening just to find something, it is not working for me. Now we are stuck with it, but at least we tried it and we know for Japan. We did something that shifts the balance a bit towards the rear on throttle, it is a bit too much. On a really tight corner it is working, so it is good to try it here.

Not such a good stage for me, I was hesitating a lot. We did a drastic change on service yesterday, changed the balance a lot and I need to get used to it. Something with differentials.

It's quite fun but there are some really fast sections, then a big braking zone. At the moment, with the soft tyre, you hit the brakes and it locks up. We hit the brakes and we were on the limit. Sometimes quite good but sometimes quite bad.

We are trying things out, we tried one thing that wasn't working but at least we know to go in the other direction. We tried something with the damper but it didn't really help us too much.

The Tarmac is fully dry, when you get into the forest it is a little damp. Some cuts appear from nowhere, it is always a bit tricky, but if you stay in the line there is no problem. We are still struggling with the front, but it is much better than yesterday. We are still trying to find that small thing that can get us to the finish.

Sometimes the grip is gone suddenly, there was a wide road and we went fully straight. Lost a bit of time in the grass. The beginning is quite dry and you want to get through.

We were quite lucky, slippery braking, pulled the handbrake and I hit the kerb. I was checking for a puncture so we dropped the rhythm, but better to drop the rhythm than have a puncture.

It's almost more wet than yesterday in some sections, the grip is changing a lot. Sometimes the beginning of the braking is horrendous and you think you are going to 20m and you go 50m from the apex.

It is a tricky stage for sure, even with the road position on the second pass, it is impossible to do a good time on this one. We were watching Thierry and there were no leaves and we came and there were leaves. Sometimes you do not know what is under the leaves.

For sure it is way dryer, you can push a bit, even the tyres move near the end. You still have damp patches which make the car go off line, but nothing to worry about. The feeling with the car is a bit better so you can achieve more. Didn't change much, just the roll-bar, clicks and some small adjustments.

Still struggling with understeer and we lost the hybrid on that jump. I cannot get the front turned in, if I cannot get it turned in we cannot go full throttle.

We made some chnages. There is improvement but still struggling in some places. The soft tyre on this stage is okay, but on the braking it is overheating very quickly.

It's difficult, the last part is a bit more slippery. There is like a small dust on top of the Tarmac. Not feeling comfortable with the car right now, it is still enjoyable in the car but in order to push you need to trust the car. We have quite a lot of understeer, in the corner you need to turn the front and the rest will follow.
