INFORMATION ABOUT SS 13
retired (55 - Aihara Taisuke / Hagino Tsukasa): retired in SS 13
flash info (22 - Kajetanowicz Kajetan / Szczepaniak Maciej): Not bad but not perfect, good experience on hard tyres. We are too hard on the clicks. I think Solans because we are fighting together, he helps me a lot. The stage is more slippery than before but in some part is better. I try to find a feeling and a compromise on the hard tyres. We are testing now, we have fun. We want to catch some good stage times but it is not necessary.
flash info (36 - Kogure Hikaru / Luhtinen Topi): Compared to yesterday I have more confidence. I think the gravel crew info has helped my confidence more and more. It is going to be better on the final day.
flash info (25 - Greensmith Gus / Andersson Jonas): It was nice, a bit tricky. Understeering quite a lot with the hard tyre so I need to make some small setup changes. Other than that, good.
flash info (30 - Ingram Chris / Kihurani Alexander): I struggled with the brakes again but it felt better, we are going in the right direction. We just have one hard on the front. It's alright. Sketchy, but okay.
flash info (32 - Kovalainen Heikki / Kitagawa Sae): It's driving for sure. Arai and Pajari are on another level. The end of the stage was a bit average, the rest of the stage was quite okay. We need to be fast. Not very confident we can get the podium position back but anything can happen.
flash info (31 - Arai Hiroki / Matsuo Shunsuke): I took the safe option for tyres, still we have the experience of hard tyres. This is my first time using hard tyres. It is safety first, some of the hard sections it is tricky too, really greasy on the stage. Sometimes the hard tyre is the best option.
flash info (20 - Pajari Sami / Mälkönen Enni): I think one of the most difficult things in rallying [is balancing], sometimes when you are pushing you just go flat out, but to be on the safe side I have to get some rhythm with the driving. The feeling has been okay and it has been quite fun.
flash info (21 - Gryazin Nikolay / Aleksandrov Konstantin): It was the same as the first pass, really slippery. The gravel crew is doing a good job on this stage. There were places where people were cutting more. It is hard to know what to expect on these corners. Nice run, no need to push, just be clean. Car is working well, so just looking to enjoy.
flash info (8 - Tänak Ott / Järveoja Martin): I definitely tried to push, somehow I don't have as good balance as I did yesterday with the hard tyre, but I felt comfortable so. We need to keep going, I think Japan is never comfortable.
flash info (33 - Evans Elfyn / Martin Scott): A bit of understeer, especially in the slippery places, so probably lost quite a bit of confidence with that.
flash info (16 - Fourmaux Adrien / Coria Alexandre): It was a really good stage, I am happy with my pace. He is quicker, what else to say? He is an eight time world champion, he has to be quicker. I still have to keep Taka behind me.
flash info (18 - Katsuta Takamoto / Johnston Aaron): I expected even worse, I was so cautious. Maximum push now, it is tricky enough. I just keep going and that's it. I think the hard tyre is working quite okay. Good job by Pirelli.
flash info (17 - Ogier Sébastien / Landais Vincent): So far we are quickest. Let's see, the previous one we were fastest but nominal times were given faster. It's been a good stage, as least we have the zone identified where the mud is now.
flash info (13 - Munster Grégoire / Louka Louis): It was drier than expected, I could have done more. Now that it is dry we are finding that understeer again. It is almost like the tyre is overheating but I just think we are lacking support in these fast corners.
flash info (11 - Neuville Thierry / Wydaeghe Martijn): As expected I would say, no big surprises, a couple of slippery corners, I took it a bit more steady. Just struggling with the brakes, we lost it a bit on the previous stage, we lost the bite. I didn't have a bite midway through this stage.
