INFORMATION ABOUT SS 9 | |
(25 - Greensmith Gus / Andersson Jonas): It's not the day that we wanted but we are still in the fight and the podium is a realistic thing, we need to get the car straight again and we'll be alright. The opening stage tomorrow is very, very technical and very unforgiving.
(24 - McErlean Joshua / Fulton James): It's been pretty okay, it has been consistent and I think in the WRC you have to be consistent. We want to improve and meet the top two guys who are a step ahead. It's surreal, at the road sections and the traffic lights and stuff, even the kids and grandmas are out; it's special.
(23 - Solans Jan / Sanjuán Rodrigo): It's been a fun fight with Chris Ingram, we are finding the pace this afternoon. As I said before it has been a long time since driving these roads, it is just getting back experience.
(30 - Ingram Chris / Kihurani Alexander): It's absolutely amazing, I have never experienced such atmosphere. The people are incredible, probably the best rally I've ever done. Surpassed all my expectations, challenging us, learning the car. We've learnt a lot so we can hopefully step up the pace for tomorrow.
(22 - Kajetanowicz Kajetan / Szczepaniak Maciej): Skills? Which skills! Mechanical skills! A lot of work in front of us. This stage was good, a lot of atmosphere. We are part of the show in Japan, it means a great feeling.
(29 - Yamamoto Yuki / Salminen Marko): The day was quite tough but we are learning and we are here to learn, so it is okay.
(21 - Gryazin Nikolay / Aleksandrov Konstantin): The car is helping me, like I said at CER, I do what it asks me to do and we work together. We have the experience for the future also. Tomorrow is a new day, we will see what the weather does for tomorrow. Now it is cloudy, in the mountains where it is cloudy there might be a few drops, I hope so.
(20 - Pajari Sami / Mälkönen Enni): It's a tricky day I would say, the morning was not what I was hoping for but we recovered quite well from the puncture, otherwise the pace has been quite solid. We just try to maintain it like it is.
(13 - Munster Grégoire / Louka Louis): It is quite fun out in the dark, nice atmosphere for the fans. It is difficult to say how we progressed because we were not always feeling great with the car, but we tried some different things and it is positive for tomorrow.
(18 - Katsuta Takamoto / Johnston Aaron): For sure we gave it a big push, we hit inside a box, one corner was completely wet. I try to do stable and nice shift tomorrow.
(16 - Fourmaux Adrien / Coria Alexandre): I will have a better road position for tomorrow, so let's see. The goal is to be set for tomorrow afternoon. We have the target set, we want the car working so let's give it a push.
(17 - Ogier Sébastien / Landais Vincent): Fifth is not enough, it is still a disappointing day for us. We keep trying for our team. Many things happened today, you don't know what will happen tomorrow. The driving is okay, the feeling is okay, but obviously it is not what we wanted to fight for. Taka is not the target for me, Tänak would have been the target but he is too far away.
(33 - Evans Elfyn / Martin Scott): Naturally a bit disappointed with the afternoon, there was potential there to do a bit better than that. Hopefully tomorrow is a bit more consistent from us. It's a very demanding day tomorrow and we'll see what the weather is up to.
(8 - Tänak Ott / Järveoja Martin): Big stages were quite okay, I don't know if we lost a tyre. There are two stages tomorrow that we know, one is new. Looking forward to the challenge ahead.
(9 - Mikkelsen Andreas / Eriksen Torstein): Definitely it has been tough. I can't find any positives from the day. When the car was working the feeling was good, that's the only positive. |
