Hopefully we get more chances to try to understand and improve for next year. Big thanks to the gravel crew, they had a tricky job and it was their first time in Japan. Big thanks to the boys and girls at M-Sport, couldn't dream of a better team to start with in WRC.
24.11.2024 05:11 20 flash info (13 - Munster Grégoire / Louka Louis): We had some good times, certainly yesterday. In general, we were still struggling a bit with the car, it is good learning to try and fix the feeling and so on. That is what we learnt from this year I think.
24.11.2024 02:11 19 flash info (13 - Munster Grégoire / Louka Louis): I am still struggling. Lot of understeer entry, oversteer exit so not ideal. That is how it is. I want to congratulate, Thierry and Martijn. It's been a long time Belgium were waiting for this and being half-Belgian, I am quite proud of them. Along with Ogier, they have been an inspiration to me. Really cool to see him finally achieve it. I remember 2010 when I was watching him in Ypres with a Peugeot 207 with the Belgian team and I was hoping to be in the same position, so I am really happy for them.
24.11.2024 00:11 18 flash info (13 - Munster Grégoire / Louka Louis): At the moment I was hesitating, you have the impact and don't know what the car is going to do if you have a slow puncture or something. I am struggling more than yesterday. Yesterday was way more twisty so you just have to make the car slow downhill, you have more load with the tyre and the chassis. Struggling a bit but have to improve this afternoon. It stays [as it is], Forum8 Rally Japan with its surprises. Now there is not so much to play for, we just need to improve.
24.11.2024 00:11 17 flash info (13 - Munster Grégoire / Louka Louis): In the middle sector it is really slippery, in the beginning although I tried to heat the tyre up a lot I didn't have any feeling, outside temperature is still quite low. I didn't trust the front of the car. At the end on the hairpin uphill, I hit quite badly on the left and the steering is quite bent.
23.11.2024 15:11 16 flash info (13 - Munster Grégoire / Louka Louis): We are really happy, yesterday we were struggling but we had a discussion with the engineer and were able to make the right choice. Then we had second fastest, third fastest time. Hopefully we can continue tomorrow morning. There is an advantage with the road position because there is a middle section that is really dirty. I have no specific objective, I want to finish the rally. Same approach as the last two ones.
23.11.2024 14:11 15 flash info (13 - Munster Grégoire / Louka Louis): It is quite dry, even the hard tyres are overheating. Really tricky towards the end. Maybe we can change the setup so it is less tricky, but we will see for everyone. I think with the Friday in Chile on gravel, this is the best day we've had. We are still not as fast as others, but we need to check the splits and see how we can get better.

23.11.2024 14:11 13 flash info (13 - Munster Grégoire / Louka Louis): It was drier than expected, I could have done more. Now that it is dry we are finding that understeer again. It is almost like the tyre is overheating but I just think we are lacking support in these fast corners.

I could have done more but in a previous year we had a big spin on the first pass and on the second pass I didn't finish the stage. I think everyone knows that this one is quite tricky for the front axle.

Lost a bit of time, struggling with the tyre choice and the front of the car. We need to do everything about what we do, because it is not so clean.
