The stadium has been good, bit more difficult for the hard tyres. [We] made a bet before the stage saying loser buys a beer, so he owes me a beer now! Still one to go yet.

I've done a lot of work with Škoda Motorsport so I know what tempterature Arai's differential can go to, I think he'll be fine. Fine stage, nice and easy through, no stress. Japan is one of my favourite places to come to, always very happy to be here, I have enjoyed the stages this time more than the other times we did this.

Like every year of my rallying career, it goes very quickly. It feels like I was just in Kenya. We are taking it nice and easy. Every stage is challenging, you have to be very aware, already in the beginning there were some places that were pulling out water.

Tyre pressure was all wrong, went off pretty quickly. The tyres were gone very, very quickly.

It was better this time without a spin, but that corner is still very slippery. The hard tyres took a long time to heat up. If I wouldn't have hit a rock face it would've been a battle for a podium but there it is.

It was nice, a bit tricky. Understeering quite a lot with the hard tyre so I need to make some small setup changes. Other than that, good.

It's not the day that we wanted but we are still in the fight and the podium is a realistic thing, we need to get the car straight again and we'll be alright. The opening stage tomorrow is very, very technical and very unforgiving.

Not easy for sure, the grip is changing quite a bit. Some places it was alright but some places there was quite a bit of time left in places there. I would have said four soft would be the best in there but the guys with the hards made it look easy.
