The stadium has been good, bit more difficult for the hard tyres. [We] made a bet before the stage saying loser buys a beer, so he owes me a beer now! Still one to go yet.

I've done a lot of work with Škoda Motorsport so I know what tempterature Arai's differential can go to, I think he'll be fine. Fine stage, nice and easy through, no stress. Japan is one of my favourite places to come to, always very happy to be here, I have enjoyed the stages this time more than the other times we did this.

Like every year of my rallying career, it goes very quickly. It feels like I was just in Kenya. We are taking it nice and easy. Every stage is challenging, you have to be very aware, already in the beginning there were some places that were pulling out water.
