Amazing feeling, it was very tough to control the race because I was thinking about the Italian championship. This race can be crucial for the future of the championship. I would like to thank Pietro, Sparco, Pirelli, all the sponsors and all the people close to us because they have helped us get here.

We pushed quite hard, so I am really happy with my Citroën and the Pirellis because the weather is so hot and I can push since the beginning and manage the gap. We try to stay focussed and we'll see. I know the stage well like the other drivers because we are doing this stage since 2018. I am pretty happy in Rome.

With this gap, it is not enough. We have the 32km stage which is the longest of the rally. For the mindset, it is ok.

I am happy about the stage, we did it in 2018 so for sure the pace back in the day was different. I can improve a couple of corners by some margin on this stage. It looks okay at the moment but in Rome I always say "it is a long way to go", so we'll see.

I hope so for a big fight, it's a short stage and it went quite well. We made a couple of mistakes like everyone because it is impossible to do a perfect stage. I am happy with my stage.
