07.07.2024 14:07 | 14 | (1 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): Probably a little bit better in places to be fair, we had a moment at the start and after that I backed right out of it. It is better to bring back some points, considering we were potentially out of the rally at SS2, it's good to come back and finish above our rivals. |
07.07.2024 12:07 | 13 | (1 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): It's all going to rely on the weather conditions, on this stage we have taken a compromise on setup and tyres. If the rain comes even 20sec to 30sec isn't enough. |
07.07.2024 10:07 | 12 | (1 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): It's a very technical stage, really hard on the pace-notes and you can't really read the corners. We're in no-man's land so just trying to keep it tidy. When the rain comes on this stage and it's already slippery in the dry, it's not going to be a stage to look forward to. |
07.07.2024 09:07 | 11 | (1 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): It's quite painful on my side! Had to check on [Kennard] at the end, there is a lot of jumps and compressions in there. We just have to keep pushing. |
06.07.2024 19:07 | 10 | (1 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): Obviously we'll see what the others do, tough old day at the office but we can press the reset button and go again. Damage limitation is how we'd sum up today, started off on the back-foot thanks to qualifying, nine times out of ten we'd have cooked the motor this morning so we're happy we're here. |
06.07.2024 18:07 | 9 | (1 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): We're lucky in this one, we hit a massive rock in the start of the road and it bent the steering a bit. If we can climb up the road position tomorrow and put up a fight for the guys in front of us, but we're a sitting duck at the moment. |
06.07.2024 16:07 | 8 | (1 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): The ruts are not so bad in this one, I can enjoy the stage and the car seems to be working well. There is some dampness in the stage that has dried out so it's a bit loose in there, but a nice stage and couldn't have done much more. |
06.07.2024 15:07 | 7 | (1 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): There has been a bit more rain on this one so it is a bit damper. Because it is a bit loose, we pushed a bit in there and overshot a junction. Other than that, all good. |
06.07.2024 13:07 | 6 | (1 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): Loose! Much looser than the first stages this morning, the stages will get quicker with all the cars. Bit frustrating we're in this position, with qualifying yesterday it's out of our control. We'll do what we can. |
06.07.2024 11:07 | 5 | (1 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): Magic! A bit rutted in places, normal thing to struggle when it gets rutted with the setup we have. |
06.07.2024 11:07 | 5 | (1 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): puncture |
06.07.2024 10:07 | 4 | (1 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): It was no stress, we've been there and done it before. We knew it was under control and we had to amaneg it, if you get too red-headed you'll lose the motor so we just took a chill pill. It was quite rutted in this stage. |
06.07.2024 08:07 | 3 | (1 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): We're obviously managing issues still, not full attack because we've got a lot of pressure and no water in the system. The weather is going to be a big decider in this rally but we'll keep it up. |
06.07.2024 07:07 | 2 | (1 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): We had a big nose dive over a jump halfway through the stage and just lost all the water straight away. Engine is overheating. |
05.07.2024 19:07 | 1 | (1 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): Do you want to know the ironic thing? In the WRC I was rubbish on all super-special stages, if only I knew this 10 years ago! The support is awesome, even though I may be getting older and greyer, the people that have come and supported us here from the other side of the world is a big deal. |
