Amazing feeling, it was very tough to control the race because I was thinking about the Italian championship. This race can be crucial for the future of the championship. I would like to thank Pietro, Sparco, Pirelli, all the sponsors and all the people close to us because they have helped us get here.

We pushed quite hard, so I am really happy with my Citroën and the Pirellis because the weather is so hot and I can push since the beginning and manage the gap. We try to stay focussed and we'll see. I know the stage well like the other drivers because we are doing this stage since 2018. I am pretty happy in Rome.

With this gap, it is not enough. We have the 32km stage which is the longest of the rally. For the mindset, it is ok.

I am happy about the stage, we did it in 2018 so for sure the pace back in the day was different. I can improve a couple of corners by some margin on this stage. It looks okay at the moment but in Rome I always say "it is a long way to go", so we'll see.

I hope so for a big fight, it's a short stage and it went quite well. We made a couple of mistakes like everyone because it is impossible to do a perfect stage. I am happy with my stage.

For sure we can do more, but it's like that. I have nothing to add. I am happy with my performance throughout today, we are doing a good job for the Italian championship. We will see tomorrow, I think it will be quite tough.

When you are overthinking you drive bad, I was too careful with all the rocks on the road. By the way, I'm fine, I avoided any puncture which was my first goal on the stage. I don't think it is a disadvantage being this late on the road.

The stage is quite tricky so we prefer to push, but not 100 percent. Our goal with the Italian championship looks good so far.

I was trying to drive in my pace, I managed something in the car which in the end was okay so I am pretty happy with my stage.

It was an okay stage for us, we knew that we could have more pollution on the road and at the end we had it. It's fine, the pace is okay. I trust the car and the setup so I'm fine.

It's amazing atmosphere in front of the colosseum, it is like a dream for the Italian guys to compete in front of such a beautiful monument. The stage went quite well, I think it is impossible to be perfect and neat in these stages. We will see what this means for the Italian championship.
