01.09.2024 15:09 | 14 | (10 - Edwards Matthew / Moynihan David): Pretty gutting, engine cut out three times and we had to power cycle. Otherwise, great rally. We've achieved a lot from where we started. Credit to the organisers, we've learnt a lot in the car, Jess my wife who was very supportive of me doing the rally. Looking forward to seeing Faye and Ryan - hello kids, I'll see you tomorrow. |
01.09.2024 13:09 | 13 | (10 - Edwards Matthew / Moynihan David): That stage is not dry at all, we have some round black Pirelli's to thank. Although it isn't a dry stage, you need all the softness you can to get through that. It's the surfaces that is the problem. |
01.09.2024 11:09 | 12 | (10 - Edwards Matthew / Moynihan David): We started off as most eventful as it got, we have had a good run since. There's been a bit of drama in there, there is grass and tyre marks all over the road. That is the nicest stage of the event I'd say. |
01.09.2024 10:09 | 11 | (10 - Edwards Matthew / Moynihan David): Fairly early on, very shiny right hander that nips on the exit, few people had a wobble there as there is a lot of rubble on the road. I wouldn't be surprised to see someone else struggle in there. |
31.08.2024 23:08 | 10 | (10 - Edwards Matthew / Moynihan David): Our day has been down going up rather than up going down. I am a big believer in trusting the process if things don't go right. I know we're in a big competition with some big names about, but we just have to trust the process and try and go through it. |
31.08.2024 23:08 | 8 | (10 - Edwards Matthew / Moynihan David): There's always a variable today, always something changing and something to manage. We're building the blocks back slowly. |
31.08.2024 23:08 | 7 | (10 - Edwards Matthew / Moynihan David): What's different? The lines you can take because of the knowledge from the first run, you know a little bit more after service because you know where the dirty stuff will be. The car is changing all the time. At the start you're trying to get everything to come in and at the end you're letting it all go, eg the brakes, et cetera. Everything gets hotter. |
31.08.2024 23:08 | 6 | (10 - Edwards Matthew / Moynihan David): A gravel tyre would be the right choice. We were talking to Cronin who had completely different options, on the dry stuff you can go but on the tough boggy stuff it's hard. There's lots of options. |
31.08.2024 23:08 | 5 | (10 - Edwards Matthew / Moynihan David): It was nice to show a little bit of pace now. Really tricky towards the end, lots of cuts and lots of mud like usual. We're dialling into it but still not particularly comfortable. |
31.08.2024 23:08 | 4 | (10 - Edwards Matthew / Moynihan David): Came a bit quick on us that's all, lots of fast stuff then slow and wet runs after. They usually catch you out. I though the first 4km was all flat, we had a half spin at the first acute hairpin. Shame about Williams, we had an otherwise reasonable run. The tyres are okay. It's a great showcase for the area, you almost want to stop halfway through the stage and have a look around because it's phenomenal. Great place to go for a picnic. |
31.08.2024 22:08 | 3 | (10 - Edwards Matthew / Moynihan David): It's not very pleasant really, you're just waiting to be caught out. It's not getting faster that's for sure. |
30.08.2024 22:08 | 2 | (10 - Edwards Matthew / Moynihan David): Very careful, we had a pop off in there which we had on the shakedown so we'll have to look out for that tomorrow. Happy to be here now but just looking forward to tomorrow. |
