After the fatal accident of the co-driver of car no. 9 in SS 3 and after the request by the Clerk of the Course the Stewards of the meeting decided to cancel the remainder of 39. Rally Bohemia. In accordance to the FIA General Prescriptions 18b and 19a the classification is null (less than 25% of the total length of the rally).
Dnes 14. července 2012 došlo během XXXIX. Rally Bohemia na rychlostní zkoušce číslo 3 k tragické nehodě posádky Martin Semerád – Bohuslav Ceplecha, startovní číslo 9. Při nehodě byl vážně zraněn spolujezdec Bohuslav Ceplecha, který přes veškerou péči záchranných složek následkům těžkého zranění podlehl. Organizační výbor následně rozhodl, že rally bude ukončena. Ředitel XXXIX. Rally Bohemia Jan Mochan vyjadřuje hlubokou soustrast pozůstalým Bohuslava Ceplechy.
