INFORMATION ABOUT SS 13
(13 - Munster Grégoire / Louka Louis): retired after SS 13
(80 - Parellis Dimitris / Papandreou Andreas): It was a typical Acropolis day. The stages were exactly as we expected, but we managed to get back here. We had small problems, but the most important thing is that we are here.
(73 - Plagos Ioannis / Kouzionis Christos): It was a difficult day right from the start. We had overheating problems with the brakes, but we managed to deal with it. Also in the afternoon we had problems with the dust from the frontrunners. But we managed to get back here, everything is OK. Tomorrow is a difficult day, a proper Acropolis.
(71 - Domínguez Diego / Peñate Rogelio): We had engine issues in the morning, but we managed to recover and climb to second place. And in the second pass from Karoutes the car broke and we lost 4 minutes. Tomorrow we will try to get some time back.
(68 - Türkkan Ali / Albayrak Oytun): Very tough day. The Acropolis we’re used to. We finished today in the lead of our category, which is good. We already have some points. But there is still a long way to go! We will keep the same rhythm and avoid mistakes, and hopefully finish tomorrow like this and take our first JWRC victory.
(67 - Martens Thomas / Freeman Max): For me it was a clean day. We drove slowly and we tried to protect the car. Eventually other cars had problems and we moved up to the classification. It was a good day for us.
(63 - Gill Taylor / Brkic Daniel): Not easy, but we came back. A couple of punctures, but we expected it. Tomorrow we will try just to go to the finish.
(58 - Halkias Efthimios / Komnos Nikolaos): In the morning the brakes overheated from the first stage, a problem we solved in the middle service. Also we had a puncture in the second pass of Pavliani, but everything is ΟΚ. In this rally everything is about survival. And tomorrow we have a difficult and tough day ahead of us. We will try to enjoy the rally.
(54 - Soylu Uğur / Güray Şener): retired in SS 13
(50 - Karanikolas Epaminondas / Kakavas Giorgos): Difficult day for everybody. We tried to go faster today. In Pavliani and Karoutes everything was OK. But in the second pass in Pavliani we hit the sump guard and the dashboard shut down. We stopped to see what happened. We didn’t find out and we drove slowly through the stage. Now we have already fixed the problem. Tomorrow we are going to enjoy two great stages.
(43 - Prokop Martin / Ernst Michal): It was rougher than I expected. The last one was tricky, because there was a lot of hanging dust. I can say that I am tired now. And tomorrow we have a long Sunday. Usually it is very short, but now it is a proper day.
(42 - Virves Robert / Viilo Jakko): I am quite happy with our driving. Not perfect, but sure we manage the situation. We avoid punctures and the result is what it is. Tomorrow we have a new stage for everybody. It will be very long and it will be the most interesting part.
(35 - Lindholm Emil / Hämäläinen Reeta): The temperature was not so extreme. For us it is just fun. In the last one we had some issues, so we backed off a little bit, to return to the service.
(28 - Cachon Alejandro / Rozada Borja): The day was quite good. The pace was strong. In the afternoon loop we tried to manage the tyres. Tomorrow is a long day and we have a stage that is new to everybody. Let's see what happens.
(20 - Rossel Yohan / Dunand Arnaud): It was ΟΚ. We try to do our best and reduce the gap to second position. Tomorrow the plan is to come back strong.
(23 - Greensmith Gus / Andersson Jonas): Very tricky afternoon. I haven’t seen the tyres heating like this. We fought all day as hard as we could and we came back to second. Tomorrow will be hard, especially the first one.
(34 - Kajetanowicz Kajetan / Szczepaniak Maciej): I’m not fighting in WRC2. The main fight is in WRC2 Challenger. We are 10 seconds behind Gus Greensmith, but we lead the Challenger and we need to keep this position. But this is Acropolis Rally.
(21 - Solberg Oliver / Edmondson Elliott): Today was extremely challenging to manage the pace between going fast enough and not too slow, keeping the tyres alive and without punctures. It worked very well and we could be very quick in the afternoon. I think tomorrow is the roughest day, at least Tarzan is the roughest stage.
(8 - Tänak Ott / Järveoja Martin): It’s great for us. Demanding stages. The road position was good and also the car was great.
(16 - Fourmaux Adrien / Coria Alexandre): I am happy to be on the podium. We took some soft tyres because we expected rain. We do the whole loop with three hard tyres and one soft. It was difficult, but I am happy to be here.
(17 - Ogier Sébastien / Landais Vincent): Nice and clean pass. The smoothest stage of the weekend. I enjoy it. A lot of dust at the end.
(33 - Evans Elfyn / Martin Scott): Nothing really special. All OK. It's fine. We are not in the fight, but we have a good rhythm. We will see what we can do tomorrow.
(13 - Munster Grégoire / Louka Louis): It's so narrow, that you don't have the room to make a Scandinavian flick. Before the Rally I made a video to explain how to use the handbrake. And now I do it without. Simply lovely.
(1 - Neuville Thierry / Wydaeghe Martijn): I don't know if we can be happy. We are 5th. I am feeling good in the car and I was enjoying the ride. The car is performing well and is leading the Rally. It’s difficult to finish without trouble. Everything was there, but three punctures didn’t allow us to do what we can.
(55 - McErlean Joshua / Treacy Eoin): I try to stay off the handbrake. Definitely learning. It was very demanding, but it's very nice to be here. We reset for tomorrow and head for Super Sunday.
(22 - Sesks Mārtiņš / Francis Renārs): The last stage was a big challenge. I don't know if there is something left on the rear tyres. We just try to get through.
